Grace's surgery and NO A/C!!!

Well this morning was an early one and we are not a morning family. Everyone did so well though.

Well...almost everyone.

My sweet hubby is the one who has the easiest time getting up, and he was VERY distracted this morning. He woke up and the A/C was not working!!

This meant he had to walk around the entire house and try to figure out where the problem was, BEFORE we left for Grace's surgery.

....SO mommy had to get ALL the kiddos up and ready to be out the door at 6:30am!

This time I was prepared...

ALL the kids took baths last night and went to bed in their clothes!!

And we wonder why she falls her bed all the time. This girl can't lay still in her bed!

Grace in pre-op. She wasn't happy that she had to take off her pajama top, but she still put on her smile!

She got to keep the bottoms on though! AND...can I tell you how hard it is to find house slippers for kids in May!!??!!

It is impossible!! We looked EVERYWHERE and wound up with fuzzy lined Crocs. Thank goodness Grace liked them!!

They had a massage chair in pre-op. Daddy loved playing with it!

Grace playing computer games when we got home.

Grace bit her lip sometime during the surgery. Poor baby's lip has a bump the size of a peanut on it. That just meant she got all the Popsicles she wanted today!

And chocolate can make ANY girl happy!! (I promise, she did eat some healthy things today)

Glad you found the crocs. I tried several places in the mall for kids slippers and they looked at me like I'd lost my mind. Guess when its 100 degrees out there not many people are looking for slippers. We should of thought to look in hospital gift shops! Duh. Oh well. Breaks my heart to see little Gracie sitting in that big ole white hospital bed. :( I can't imagine how much better her life must be even at this minute as she tries to figure out what different sounds are and where they are coming from. Should be interesting at bedtime to see if she can sleep thru all the "house noises." Hope the a/c is back on soon. In the meantime, do like we did as kids with no a/c. Get washcloths wet with cold water, wring them out and put them in the freezer for about 15 minutes and then put them on the back of your neck. That oughta get Rodney movin' right along. Ha!
